Summer is here! The warm weather has finally arrived as the second half of the year begins. What do you like to do during the summer months; enjoy a walk, picnic, holiday?
There are many things we associate with summer which is great for crafting! There are limitless options for creating beautiful summer cards. Take a look at some of our ideas to help inspire you today.
1. Stunning Florals
When you think of summer, flowers come to mind. They set a beautiful and colourful scene for your card. Our Picture Perfect Pad – In the Garden features a host of beautiful floral imagery perfect for summer, from full bloomed gardens to clear blue skies.

You Will Need:
How to Make this card
- Score front of card blank at 7.5cm and fold back
- Cut silver mirri to fit the front and inside
- Cut Adorable Scorable Flexi-Weight for the front
- Cut the Perfect Patterns cardstock slightly smaller for the inside
- Use the embossing folder to emboss the corners of the Flexi-Weight.
- Wrap the pink ribbon around the Perfect Patterns. Tie near the top and attach the sentiment with a bow
- Matt and layer the card
- Cut out large and small pictures from the Paper Pad, then matt onto the silver Mirri
- Use the remaining pictures to fussy cut flowers for decoupage
- Stick the main picture overlapping the front
- Finish with gemstones.
2. BBQ Time!
Who doesn’t love a BBQ in the summer? It’s a great way to enjoy the warm weather whilst surrounded by loved ones. We crafted the perfect card celebrating this! Our For the Love of Stamps – Grillin’ and Chillin’ features 13 individual stamps, including a barbeque grill, dog with sausages, picnic table and beverages – great for summer!

How to Make this card
- Use Prism Pens 451, 514, 463, 456, 421, 600, 547, CG3 and CG1
- Cut Ink Me! Cardstock slightly smaller than the card blank
- Background stamp and clear emboss sentiment
- Colour with Blue Lagoon Prism Ink Pad
- Cut Ink Me! Cardstock 6cm x 17cm. Stamp the images and colour
- Cut the Ink Me! Cardstock slightly larger for matting
- Use Prism Pen to edge.
3. Let's Go To The Beach!
Summer is the prime time to get your flip flops out and go to the beach; our third card will certainly get you in the mood! Our Adorable Scorable Colour Twist – Splendid Stripes features 20 different colours you can get creative with – great for the beautiful season.

You Will Need:
How to Make this card
- Cut a piece of Splendid Stripes plain size slightly smaller than the card blank
- Cut the piece of Over the Rainbow Adorable Scorable smaller again
- Cut out right and left flip flop shape striped side up, then plain side up slightly larger
- Punch 3 holes and use the pink ribbon to make the straps
- Die cut the flowers and attach
- Use foam pads and glue to adhere flip flops
- Cut 1’’ strap of Ink Me! And punch banner – 1.5’’ strip for matt
- Stamps and emboss sentiment, use foam pads to stick on.
