Our fabulous Rachael, who is an incredibly talented crafter on our design team, created this amazing origami shirt card using our Duo Design Paper Pad - Terrazzo Chic & Splendid Speckle and it wasn't just us who loved it!

We've had many requests asking for a tutorial on how to make this. Follow our easy step-by-steps below to find our how you can make your own.

  • A4 Ink Me! Cardstock
  • Duo Design Paper Pad - Terrazzo Chic & Splendid Speckle
  • Double-Sided Tape

  • Cut paper to 6 x 8 inches. Keeping the paper landscape fold upwards to create a long rectangle
  • Unfold paper then fold each side to the middle (like a gatefold card)
  • Rotate paper so it is portrait, then turn the paper over
  • Fold the top by 1-2cm
  • Turn over then fold in the corners to the middle line so to point ends up about 1cm from the top (this forms the collar for the shirt)
  • Fold the corners of the bottom into the paper about ⅓ of the way up. Then fold paper up to create a triangle
  • Unfold the bottom so you can see the lines you have just made. Using these lines you need to reverse the folds. This will make a diamond shape on your paper. Now pull the top corners outwards to make what looks like the bottom of a paper boat
  • Working on the triangles that stick out fold into the bottom corner then out again. Using the line you have made fold it into itself to make the sleeves on the shirt
  • Lastly fold paper from the top and slot in the collar of the shirt
  • You can use paper to cut out a tie and pocket and use double sided tape to secure the shirt together.
